Within Microsoft Fabric, the Data Integration team enables organizations to connect, move, and shape data across their entire data estate. As data is generated across applications, devices, and systems, our integration capabilities make it easy to ingest, transform, and prepare data for downstream use. Fabric’s unified integration experience simplifies how customers bring data together, ensuring it is trusted, usable, and ready to power analytics, real-time insights, and AI scenarios.

The Data Integration team is hiring a Principal Product Manager. In this role you will shape and define data integration capabilities and experiences. As part of the role, you will work with customers, partners and community closely, and use feedback to drive product improvements.

Responsibilities

Analysis of Customer and Market Signals - Leads cross-team problem-solving with Microsoft ecosystem insights. Guides use of AI analysis to spot trends, assess market fit, and validate opportunities. Collaborates with stakeholders to refine features and address issues. Anticipates needs, gathers feedback, and shares insights. Manages partnerships, contract negotiations, and leverages AI for secure, improved customer insights and adoption.

Go To Market - Promotes features to stakeholders and partners, supports content creation, and educates on new offerings. Works with marketing and engineering to set release criteria and develop strategies for customer acquisition. Manages product rollouts and creates support plans.

Product/Service Definition - Identifies investment opportunities, sets roadmaps, tracks metrics, and ensures product alignment with business goals. Defines vision and strategy, writes product strategy documents, and builds consensus for AI-first product direction.

Product/Service Development - Leads feature definition, design collaboration, and AI-first concept development. Ensures usability, accessibility, security, and gathers feedback. Owns the roadmap, manages priorities, adapts to customer needs, and ensures ethical AI standards.

Product/Service Performance - Collects and analyzes KPIs, sets metrics for features, and acts to improve products. Manages feature deprecation and transitions. Builds customer relationships and gathers feedback for ongoing improvements.

Qualifications
  • Required/Minimum Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
