We are looking for a Product Engineer to drive the development and customer adoption of advanced backend design flows in Cadence Virtuoso for leading-edge process nodes.

This is a customer-facing role that combines physical design methodologies, design automation, and customer engagement. The position plays a key role in enabling efficient design implementation and influencing future product capabilities.

We are looking for highly motivated and self-driven engineers with:

  • Strong experience in custom IC backend design, layout, and signoff flows.

  • Deep familiarity with Virtuoso layout environments and advanced-node methodologies.

  • Experience with automation and scripting using SKILL, Python, Perl, or UNIX Shell.

  • Ability to work directly with customers, understand technical challenges, and deliver effective solutions.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with R&D teams.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and training skills.

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 9+ years of relevant experience, or MS degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.

The annual salary range for California is $136,500 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
