Principal Partner Success Specialist, ASP Customer Success

As a Partner Success Specialist (PSS) within the AWS Specialists & Partners (ASP) org, you will be responsible for scaling AWS's customer success methodologies across our partner ecosystem to drive measurable business outcomes and accelerate customer value realization. You will architect and implement frameworks that enable partners to drive and measure customer value post-implementation. This role combines strategic enablement with hands-on execution to establish partners as extensions of AWS's customer success organization.

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Key job responsibilities
Strategy And Approach
  • Develop strategies to align partner success initiatives with AWS’ long-term growth objectives
  • Design and adapt CS CoE's 'Activate to Advocate' framework for partner implementation
  • Create partner-specific success metrics, health scoring models, and value realization playbooks
  • Develop governance models and operational excellence guidelines for partners
  • Architect scalable approaches to measure and improve partner-led customer outcomes
  • Contribute to the AWS Value Realization Toolkit for Partners
Partner Enablement And Program Execution
  • Enable partners to build and scale their customer success practices by helping demonstrate how creating a customer success COE/customer success capabilities positively impacts their business model
  • Guide partners through post-sale stages
  • Deploy customer health frameworks and intervention strategies through partner channels
  • Build adoption, change management and stakeholder engagement toolkits
  • Coach partners in establishing systematic approaches to value realization
  • Build feedback mechanisms to continuously evolve success frameworks based on partner insights
  • Establish mechanisms to measure and track partner-led customer value realization
  • Drive partner-led adoption through technical milestones and usage metrics
  • Implement value realization frameworks to meet business KPIs
Organizational Leadership & Influence
  • Partner with PDMs to drive adoption of success frameworks across partner organizations
  • Collaborate with Partner Sales to accelerate consumption through systematic approaches
  • Work with Partner Development Specialists to create industry-specific success playbooks
  • Build relationships across AWS organizations to drive program adoption and refinement
  • Influence senior stakeholders to drive organizational transformation
  • Develop business cases demonstrating quantifiable business impact and ROI of systematic partner enablement

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning technology products
  • Knowledge of key technology and market trends
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, build, deployment processes and timelines
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
  • Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
  • Knowledge of cloud computing services or deployment architecture
  • 7+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
