The role of the Process Development Technologist is the interface between our internal customers (business units) and ADI internal and foundry manufacturing processes. The technologist will be responsible for bringing new technologies to manufacturing covering both internal and external manufacturing locations. We support our customers through the process development, device development, design / layout phase, product qualification, and volume manufacturing. The candidate will ideally have knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and/or process integration and an ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem solving to support yield excursions or product failures. The candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and be able to identify & drive continuous improvement efforts. The candidate must work with global teams and be capable of communicating clear, concise, & consistent information between our customers, cross-functional teams, and the foundries.
Qualifications/Skill Set:
MS or PhD in Material Science, Physics, or related field.
10+ years of Semiconductor industry experience in wafer fabrications, semiconductor process development, design and device physics.
Knowledge of semiconductor processing and devices is preferred.
Knowledge in magnetic technology or processing.
Understanding of device performance / process integration interactions
Understanding of integrated circuit functionality and device characterization
Ability to lead and coordinate technical projects with diverse and cross-functional teams
Understanding of statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods
Lab experience with characterizing, understanding, and improving semiconductor device performance and reliability
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Skills in technical writing, project management and independent research
Responsibilities:
Communication and interpretation of requirements within a cross-functional environment.
Progress a product/technology through the product development cycle.
Supporting internal/external customers with general inquiries.
Continuously improve new product technology processes for the foundry organization.
