Key responsibilities in your new role
As a Principal Concept Engineer, you will define the architecture for the future Automotive Smart Power products for Software Defined Vehicles. Moreover, you will collaborate with colleagues in an open-minded cross-functional team to develop competitive solutions for the global automotive industry.
- Based on application requirements define and optimize architecture of a complex electronic subsystem as description of partitioning functions into components, hardware-software, infrastructure and communication interfaces
- Describe the Hardware-Software Interface: the way the software accesses the hardware resources and diagnostic features and the relevant timing dependencies
- Provide System Modelling and definition of performance KPI, and perform feasibility analysis including fit to technology capabilities, cost, and power estimates
- Act as a link between product definition and hardware & software development and verification
- Benchmark product performance with product definition teams and collaborate with System Architects and Product Definition Engineers to define features and feed new product ideas into roadmaps
- Perform technical synchronization with lead customers during the Product Definition phase
- Contribute to next generation IPs and predevelopment activities leading to patents
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
You demonstrate strong communication skills and know-how to establish lasting relationships and networks. You actively contribute to putting decisions to work as soon as they are taken and push ideas to their full implementation by supporting the team to excellence.
- University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar
- At least 10 years of experience working with microcontrollers or products with integrated core(s), within the semiconductor or Tier 1 industry
- Lead hardware or lead software role in a complex product development (full chip or full application)
- Solid knowledge of both hardware design (analog or digital) and embedded software development (AUTOSAR & ASPICE are a plus)
- Experience in complex product definition or complex product application is a plus
- Experience in system-level design, system validation, as well as hardware – software interface design is a plus
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
