This is a home office, field sales role based in the posting location and requires up to 35% domestic travel.
Description
As a Platform Architect within the Canadian Field Engineering team for Apple’s channel sales organization, you will play a pivotal role in helping business and education partners and customer successfully adopt and scale our platform across their organizations. Your primary responsibility will be to guide the build of best-in-class IT practices and environments that support the scaled use of our products, ensuring long-term success beyond your direct engagement.
You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping partners build practices to deploy, manage, and secure our platform at scale while also addressing user experience, application and support strategies, and overall lifecycle management needs. A key part of your role will be introducing long-term service offerings delivered by partners that ensure ongoing customer success at scale.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand our customer’s and partner’s organizations and ambitions—and be seen as a trusted advisor on the Apple hardware, software and services.
- Work collaboratively across Apple, channel partners, to build technical practices at partner organizations to enhance readiness of our platform and support end customers in business and education.
- Deliver the technical enablement strategy and execute readiness initiatives to integrate Apple into our partner’s product and service offerings.
- Regularly assess and communicate the strength and efficiency of partner capabilities.
- Guide and shadow partner organizations in their customer implementations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Typically 7 years of experience in deploying and managing Apple technology across large complex heterogenous IT environments
- Extensive knowledge of platform security architecture, including security and compliance
- Deep expertise with Mac client management solutions (e.g., Jamf, Omnissa Workspace One, Microsoft Intune, pkgbuild, autopkg, Packages, Composer)
- Expertise with Identity Provider solutions (e.g., Microsoft Entra, Okta)
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Swift, Ruby)
- Expertise with UNIX shell scripting (e.g., Bourne, bash, zsh)
- Expertise with telemetry, application performance management, digital employee experience tools (osquery or equivalent)
- Solid understanding with Windows equivalents of above
- Hands-on knowledge of multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS and iOS/iPadOS
- Expertise in building and delivering compelling presentations, demonstrations and seminars.
- Ability to build, maintain, and strengthen high-level customer and partner relationships.
- Strong communicator, capable of delivering complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences including at an executive level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and French is highly preferred.
- Strong experience engaging and enabling channel partners to drive joint sales outcomes.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure and clarity where none exists.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement with the curiosity to uncover gaps, resilience to manage ambiguity, and drive to optimize processes and create solutions.
- Expert in active listening and debating with a focus on finding the best solutions, even if it means pivoting from original ideas.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate organizational structures, and manage complex relationships.
