Planning Associate - Entry

Job Description

Plans and coordinates end-to-end supply chain planning, including when goods should be produced and in what quantity, while optimizing the balance between customer delivery requirements and inventory levels. Interfaces with Marketing, Sales, Production, R&D, Finance, Materials, Logistics, Service Part Organization, Customer Service and contract manufacturers (CM) and original design manufacturers (ODM) to compile, develop, validate and communicate production/shipment plans and associated strategies that support overall business objectives. Uses enterprise resource planning (ERP) system(s) for processes such as inventory tracking, supplier scheduling, process and workflow management, etc. Establishes and manages relationships with suppliers/partners. May be responsible for coordinating new product introduction (NPI), product transfer and new supply chain setup including assuring materials, labor and test capacity are in place to meet volume production. May have global or multi-site inventory management responsibilities. May partner with Sales and Marketing to develop factory support processes for indirect channels and worldwide customer escalations. Works on production planning assignments with clearly defined objectives. Solves problems of limited scope and complexity

Job Responsibilities

  Manage and execute production and supply planning activities based on customer demand, forecast, backlog, material availability, and production capacity.

  Monitor customer orders and delivery requirements to ensure on-time delivery and achievement of business/revenue objectives.

  Review demand and supply conditions regularly and proactively identify potential material shortages, capacity constraints, and delivery risks via IRP and BRP

  Collaborate with Buyers, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Contract Manufacturers to resolve supply constraints and support customer requirements.

  Manage and optimize finished goods, work-in-progress, and material inventory while balancing customer service requirements and inventory targets.

  Drive appropriate planning actions such as production pull-in/push-out, material prioritization, and recovery planning based on changing business requirements.

  Support NPI, product transfer, outsourcing, and product lifecycle activities, ensuring planning and material readiness for successful execution.

  Perform data analysis and provide clear visibility of supply-demand gaps, delivery risks, inventory exposure, and other relevant planning metrics.

  Participate in continuous improvement, Lean, digitalization, and planning transformation initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and effectiveness.

  Ensure planning activities comply with established business processes, systems, and operational requirements.

  Provide timely escalation and recommendations to management on critical supply chain issues that may impact customer delivery or business performance.

  Support ad hoc supply chain projects and responsibilities based on evolving business requirements.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; may have up to 2 years’ relevant experience.
