As the People Business Partner Director for EMEIA Retail, you will serve as a strategic senior leader, coach, and community steward across our regional store fleet. In this role, you will bridge Apple’s worldwide vision with the dynamic Retail environment, building a high-impact team of People leaders dedicated to continuous learning, operational excellence, and an inclusive workplace culture where everyone can do their best work.

Description

Co-create, lead and implement comprehensive People strategies and initiatives across Apple Retail store and online markets in EMEIA. Partner closely with regional and global business leadership and People functions to align talent initiatives with commercial and customer priorities. Foster a highly collaborative, inclusive environment that develops retail leaders and enriches the employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a regional People Business Partner team that enables strong business, customer and employees impact through intentional People strategies.
  • This includes developing the strategic roadmap for the entire EMEIA region, driving expansion efforts across multiple markets, as well as traditional levers such as talent planning, succession management, leadership development and organizational capability across EMEIA retail markets.
  • Advise and influence senior leaders across a matrix organization to align business needs with organizational design, efficiencies, and performance strategies.
  • Champion organizational change initiatives in partnership with leadership to build an agile, forward-looking retail store organisation.
  • Collaborate with Apple University and Global Talent Development to identify organizational learning priorities and deliver field-level leadership development programs.
  • Cultivate a culture of belonging by integrating inclusion and diversity priorities directly into regional business strategies and people practices.
  • Partner with Employee Relations to oversee employee-related practices, policies, and investigations while ensuring compliance with local employment, labor, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, and retail leadership to optimize hiring, mobility, and onboarding experiences across regional markets.
  • Guide annual salary planning in partnership with retail leadership and Compensation & Benefits teams, analyzing key people metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience leading and developing senior human resources leaders or people managers.
  • Experience directing human resources strategy and business partnering across a multi-country, regional, or international organizational structure.
  • Experience designing and executing organizational development, succession planning, and workforce capability strategies across distributed teams.
  • Practical knowledge of European labor standards, works councils, statutory employment regulations, and employee relations frameworks.
  • Experience utilizing workforce analytics and talent metrics to inform commercial decisions and organizational planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading human resources functions within multi-unit retail, consumer-facing, or high-touch customer service environments.
  • Experience advising and influencing regional executive leadership within a matrix operating model.
  • Demonstrated background in embedding inclusion and diversity initiatives into core business operations and leadership development pipelines.
  • Experience collaborating with global HR Centers of Excellence, including specialized Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations teams.
  • Demonstrated experience steering large-scale organizational transformations, restructuring, or cultural change initiatives across diverse cultural markets.
  • Demonstrated experience providing executive-level leadership coaching.
