Our Tax & Reporting team builds scalable and well-controlled processes to support timely and accurate financial and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with regional and local tax regulations across the globe.

You will navigate the complexity of multi-regional tax regimes while acting as a strategic partner to our Delivery and Mobility businesses. What you’ll do

  • Lead tax initiatives for assigned regions while operating independently to make high-stakes decisions and drive execution.
  • Navigate the rollout of new products and initiatives by partnering with business leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure tax-compliant solutions.
  • Work with the FinTech team to build, test, and update technology that delivers a seamless and efficient tax-compliant experience for Uber, our partners, and end users.
  • Manage challenging tax controversy matters, including direct correspondence with tax authorities and the provision of audit support.
  • Drive continuous improvement to processes, controls, and reporting to maintain high productivity and velocity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Collaborate across disciplines—including Legal, Product, and Finance—to review contracts and align compliance with evolving market dynamics.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of strong tax experience within industry, law firms, or Big 4 firms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant, or Lawyer.
  • Experience managing a team and leading a functional area within a large organization.
  • Proven experience in international tax concepts, particularly cross-border services and marketplace relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify functional priorities and technical opportunities to set direction for a team.
  • Strategic perspective in balancing short-term compliance needs with long-term business sustainability.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment.
