Payroll Supervisor

As the Lead for the Strategy and Planning (S&P) team, you will navigate the complex intersection of global payroll operations and strategic compliance. You’ll be responsible for advising the Payroll Delivery Center (IPDC) in Bangalore while aligning with stakeholders across People Ops, Tax, and Legal to ensure our movement is both compliant and consistent.
This role isn't about maintaining the status quo; it’s about driving operational excellence amidst constant change and ambiguity. You will need to balance the precision of payroll accounting with the urgency of new entity implementations and system migrations. What you’ll do
- Prioritize objectives and coordinate the efforts of the IPDC team as they research tax compliance issues, manage payroll accounting journals, and complete audit responsibilities.
- Navigate internal complexity by partnering with Regional Managers across APAC, EMEA, and LatAm to implement global initiatives that improve the payroll function.
- Lead new entity implementations and migrations from inception through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring a seamless transition to go-live.
- Unblock dependencies by collaborating with cross-functional partners in Global Benefits, Equity, Mobility, and Cash Management to align on shared methodology.
- Build and maintain robust standard operating procedures and technical documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across all regions.
- Drive measurable improvements in the Global Payroll function by identifying opportunities for automation and strategic metric reporting.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in payroll or finance operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role managing complex processes.
- Subject matter expertise in payroll process and compliance for at least one major region (APAC, EMEA, or LatAm).
- Experience working with multiple payroll providers and large-scale payroll systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build strategic relationships across different regional levels and functions.
- Strong systems thinking mindset with experience driving business process automation and operational excellence.
- Resilience and adaptability when managing shifting priorities and tight deadlines in a high-growth environment.
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality while handling sensitive employee data.
