Description
Partnering closely with Payroll Operations, HR Employee Relations, Benefits, Corporate Tax, and Legal, we are seeking a highly autonomous operator with a desire to join a tech-savvy environment, a passion for streamlining and innovation, and the ability to confidently guide business partners toward compliant solutions.

The consultant will provide technical guidance on dynamic tax law changes and articulate compliance requirements to business partners for payroll system configuration. This role is crucial in interpreting payroll tax laws and providing strategic, firm guidance to protect the company from audit risk. Building a solid and trusted working relationship with the broader Operations team is a key expectation of this role.
Additionally, this role dedicates a portion of time (approximately 10-15%) to managing the tax compliance aspects of the Business Traveler Compliance (BTC) program. This requires a strong mobility tax background to navigate the increased complexity of hybrid and remote working models, as well as managing 3rd-party tax vendors.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Compliance & Advisory: Lead compliance efforts for Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) reporting, complex employment tax requirements, and annual global public holiday documentation. Provide technical guidance on dynamic tax law changes.

- Audit Support & Risk Management: Partner with Payroll Operations, Finance, Corporate Tax, and Legal to support global payroll audit activities and advise on the compliance of operating business procedures.
- Cross-Functional Execution & System Configuration: Articulate complex employment tax requirements to business partners for the purpose of system configuration within the payroll / time tracking systems.
- Business Traveler Compliance (BTC) Tax Program Management: Oversee the BTC Tax Program, manage the 3rd-party tax vendor, assist with complex employee tax escalations, and coordinate tax policy alignment between BTC and Talent Mobility.
- BTC Tax Execution: Responsible for reviewing US shadow payroll calculations and oversight of annual tax payments.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in employment tax, payroll compliance, global mobility, or risk assurance (Big 4 or large multinational experience preferred).
- Proven leadership in managing complex global payroll audits and business traveler compliance programs.
- BA/BS in Tax, Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Payroll and mobility experience in a high-volume, complex global environment.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, automation, or AI tools to streamline compliance processes is a strong plus.
- CPA/CPP strongly preferred.
