This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Amazon Web Services is looking for an accomplished Principal Partner Business Value Programs Lead, in the AWS Specialist and Partner org to support and execute strategic partner-facing programs with key members of the rapidly growing Customer Success COE.

As the Partner Business Value Programs Lead, you will own from concept to development the operation of specific programs that help partners accelerate their AWS business. You will work cross-functionally with AWS partner and technical teams to scope and build requirements for programs that will solve partner and customer challenges. The ideal candidate is experienced with program development, cross functional relationships, management, reporting, training and communicating to a variety of audiences and is highly organized. You must have the ability and initiative to understand complex business needs and solve them with programs. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with Partner Development Managers and Partner Solution Architects to land these new programs with their partners, and to create measurement and tracking mechanisms for partners around helping their customers realize business value and time to value. You will represent the partner feedback and learnings back into the AWS Services and customer success teams. At the same time, you will be the primary SME POC for partners related to these programs.

Key job responsibilities
  • Work directly with partners to implement and operate strategic projects related to business value realization, in order to deliver against program goals.
  • Conceptualize, pilot and develop partner incentive programs, working cross-functional across ASP
  • Leverage your partner knowledge to solve highly complex business challenges through programmatic solutions including working with technical stakeholders on program design.
  • Work with cross functional groups including AWS Partner Network (APN), Training, Business Development and solutions architecture to build enablement programs that allow strategic partners to develop capabilities and achieve proficiency according to AWS competency standards.
  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for enrolled partners throughout the life of the programs.
  • Operationalize programs in desired geography including program recruitment, adoption, reporting, feature roadmap, and problem resolution.
  • Work with subject matter experts, partners, and other stakeholders to develop internal content that meets audience and program requirements in creative and engaging ways.
  • Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand customer and partner needs, gaps, and opportunities
  • Build and execute a communications strategy to stakeholders, including ownership of business cadence.
  • Measure and report effectiveness of program
  • Own goals/performance reporting to senior level executives

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior customer facing role experience
  • 15+ years of leading complex, large-scale, IT, technical or engineering programs experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • Experience in a senior customer-facing role
  • Experience in leading complex, large-scale, IT, technical or engineering programs
  • Experience working with current technologies (especially cloud)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP/SCRUM/Agile certification or are you SAFe certified
  • Knowledge of key technology and market trends
  • Knowledge of the software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery
  • Experience implementing AWS/cloud services

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
