PAC Commissioning Engineer

Your Responsibilities
As a PAC Commissioning Engineer (Protection, Automation & Control), you will play a crucial role in the successful commissioning and delivery of protection, automation, and control systems for medium- and high-voltage substations. You will be responsible for testing, validating, and energizing critical infrastructure that keeps the power grid safe, reliable, and operational.
With the following assignments:
- Configure, test, and validate protection relays, (SIPROTEC - Digital Twin)
- Perform functional testing of station automation systems, SCADA solutions, RTUs, HMIs (SICAM A8000/S8000), and communication networks (Ruggedcom).
- Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation, testing, and energization phases.
- Support system integration and communication testing based on IEC 61850, Modbus and other industry protocols.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test documentation, and hand-over dossiers.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, customers and contractors.
What You Bring
- Minimal a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Automation, or a related field.
- Experience with substation protection and control systems with focus on cybersecurity.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Writing and reporting on professional scientific level in English is mandatory; Dutch is considered an advantage.
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and are willing to travel domestically and internationally, as well as participate in 24/7 shift rotations to support project execution, commissioning, and service activities.
- Holder of a valid European passport.

- Salary range in Grip 9 from; €4563 - €6560 based on a 40-hour workweek
