What you'll doAs a key member of Viasat's Time & Attendance (T&A) product team, you will help own, scale, and optimize our enterprise workforce management platforms, with a core focus on Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and Absence Management.
In this role, you will configure, manage, and deliver robust workforce solutions that directly support our global employee base, drive the FTO rollout, support year-end OTL activities, and clear critical backlogs. Your work will have immediate, real-world impact: your configurations will ensure accurate timekeeping, strict labor compliance, and seamless scheduling operations under tight, immovable go-live deadlines.
Beyond technical execution, this role offers high visibility into enterprise transformation initiatives and the opportunity to partner closely with diverse cross-functional stakeholders, including global IT engineering teams, HR leaders, finance partners, and executive business sponsors.
The day-to-dayAs an Oracle OTL (Time & Labor) and Absence Management Consultant, your day-to-day centers around hands-on system configuration, technical optimization, and cross-functional solution delivery. You will:
- Configure, test, and deploy complex Oracle OTL rules, time-card layouts, webhook/integration structures, and absence management rules across international regions for Viasat's FTO (Flexible Time Off) program.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate global operational requirements into robust technical configurations within Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Troubleshoot technical configuration issues, analyze data integrations, clear backlogs, and ensure high system performance and stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across IT, HR, and finance to align system capabilities with business goals and drive milestones toward successful, immovable go-live dates.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on functional and technical configuration experience with Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and Oracle Absence Management, or equivalent enterprise time and attendance platforms.
- Global Deployments: Demonstrated experience supporting multi-country or global workforce management implementations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in configuring complex time-entry rules, time-card layouts, accrual plans, and troubleshooting system configurations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced Oracle OTL Expertise: Deep, specialized knowledge of Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) architecture, complex time-card layouts, advanced scheduling and accrual rules, and integration points with global payroll systems.
- Global Program Scaling: Prior experience scaling workforce management solutions or Flexible Time Off (FTO) programs across international regions within Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to look beyond immediate configuration fixes to design scalable, long-term workforce management frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively bridge technical IT requirements and global HR/finance business needs.
- Agile Problem Solving: Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with strict, immovable go-live deadlines and complex operational constraints.
$90,500.00 - $143,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $112,500.00- $168,500.00/ annually
