Operational Performance Lead
Description
We are seeking an experienced Operational Performance Lead to own and scale a data and results-focused operational performance program. This senior role elevates Energy Services’ performance from tactical issue-based analytics and support services to structured and measurable field and support service performance, driving equipment, support services and technician utilisation efficiency, end-to-end process workflows, and cost optimization.
The Operational Performance Lead works across the Operational Excellence Support Service team on Performance Analytics and Field Operations Enablement. This role umbrellas the fleet, containment, parts, and continuous workflow programs, including junior and senior matrixed team members currently operating independently, owns financials, analytics, overtime and spend control, and budgets, and sets programmatic standards for how a program and structure should work.
Responsibilities
- Own the standardisation and auditing of all Operational Programs, umbrellaing the fleet, containment, parts, and continuous workflow programs including junior and senior matrixed team members currently operating independently.
- Set programmatic standards for how a program and structure should work.
- Own financials, analytics, overtime and spend control, budgets and forecasts.
- Serve as subject matter expert on Energy Service’s performance metrics and OKRs.
- Work across the team to drive performance metrics i.e. know the metric, the reason for the miss and drive the path back.
- Partner with Operational Excellence Lead(s) to determine how success criteria for a new product or process will be measured, tracked, and reported.
- Investigate where field execution is delivering on targets and obligations or creating risk.
- Champion and standardise mapping, analysis, and redesign of operational workflows.
- Establish OPX change control / management process.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency or reduce costs via new workflows, digital tooling improvements, automation or waste reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in energy industry, including at least 4 years in a program- or project-management capacity.
- Proven track record leading process-optimization and cost management programs in manufacturing or large-facility environments.
- Strong understanding of operations.
- Financial fluency, financial analysis and data-analytics skills to translate operations.
- Well organised, with experience setting programmatic standards for how a program and structure should work.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
