By 2050, 70% of the world's population, approximately 7 billion people, will live in cities! The efficiency and safety of rail traffic, the backbone of land transport, as well as the comfort provided to travelers, are major challenges. Together, let's design intelligent transportation systems for future generations now. #SIEMENSMOBILITY

Your Roadmap

As an Onshore System Engineer, you act as a technical interface for Siemens' railway signaling projects with ONCF in Morocco. You bridge complex technical solutions—from Interlocking and ETCS L1 to CENELEC standards—with flawless V-cycle execution, connecting onshore client expectations with offshore engineering team. Among other responsibilities, by ensuring strict technical compliance, driving seamless communication, and identifying new business opportunities, you guarantee both technical excellence and project alignment alongside the project team.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Act as the primary technical interface for the project team, serving as the first contact point for Siemens' scope with the customer (ONCF).
  • Negotiate and align customer expectations with Siemens' feasible targets.
  • Interface with offshore teams (both Engineering and Project Execution) to coordinate project activities in line with the project schedule and technical milestones.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of technical solutions, safety dossiers (DTS/DACE), and interfaces across PE, ENG, and R&D representatives to guarantee full compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure fluent and transparent communication between onshore and offshore engineering and project teams.
  • Identify customer needs as an opportunity hunter, potentially triggering additional scope.
  • Train and lead onshore key roles to empower them and enable them to manage certain activities independently.

Keys to Success

  • Significant and relevant (demonstrable) experience in Morocco’s railway signalling system and functionality (+10 years’ experience with complete ONCF projects).
  • Engineering Degree (Electrical Engineering, Railway Systems, or equivalent).
  • Advanced postgraduate studies or specialized background in railway signaling and interoperability is strongly preferred.
  • Solid analytical foundation demonstrated through rigorous scientific preparatory coursework is a strong plus.
  • Strong competencies in railway signalling systems, including Computer-Based Interlocking (CBI), CTC, and ETCS (Trackside & On-board), alongside GSM-R communications and safety frameworks (including DTS, DACE approval processes, CENELEC, and risk analysis).
  • Proficiency in technical documentation management, project monitoring tools, and regulatory compliance rounds out your profile.
  • Strong negotiation skills, being a problem solver, solution-oriented, and a decision facilitator.
  • Team player with strong soft skills to achieve project targets alongside the project team.
  • Availability to attend workshops or any other meetings with the project team in Madrid, Germany, etc.
  • V-cycle project development experience (demonstrable).
  • Fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
