NPI Technician for High-Speed Digital Measurement Instruments
Join a high-performance team driving cutting-edge measurement devices in the domain of high-speed digital and optical from prototypes to mature production. Take ownership to implement adjustment- and verification-routines for these instruments. It starts in strong collaboration with R&D during the development phase by participating in design reviews of key components and developing first test routines with a Keysight specific bring-up tool. Learnings of these tests should lead to better evaluation of the NPI boards and contributing to further development.
In this role, you will take ownership of developing and implementing adjustment, bring-up, verification, and pretest routines for new products.
The definition of a NPI specific test station in collaboration with R&D will be driven and realized by ordering, documenting and testing the station. Target is to stabilize and mature a test environment ready to be deployed into mass production.
This role is critical to ensuring efficient new product introductions by delivering best-in-class test solutions, accelerating product maturity, and enabling stable, high-quality production of advanced measurement systems that meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with R&D throughout the product development lifecycle, including participation in design reviews, prototype evaluation at PCA level, and support of redesign activities. Define and implement test concepts, test setups, test stations, procedures, and related documentation.
- Pretest and bring-up: Automation of test procedures in an in-house, C# based test on Keysight specific platform.
- Assemble and integrate early prototypes, mechanical assemblies, and product housings.
- Trouble shooting and debugging of PCA down to component level.
- Support R&D in characterization and evaluation of critical components and early prototypes.
- Validate and optimize software-controlled verification, calibration, and adjustment procedure.
- Lead the specification, setup, qualification and deployment of NPI test stations for manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Lead and organize measurement laboratory.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure implementation of test processes is suitable for a production environment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for assembly of products and test station. Create work instructions and production documentation.
- Communication: Interface and collaboration with international cross-functional teams across R&D, NPI, manufacturing and operations.
