Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the Quality representative for assigned server and storage programs throughout product development, validation, launch, and sustaining support. 
  • Develop and maintain quality plans, program quality status, risk assessments, and readiness criteria for assigned platforms. 
  • Participate in NPI, ODT, engineering, product-readiness, and ship-support reviews, providing clear quality recommendations and escalation when required. 
  • Identify product, reliability, manufacturing, service, supplier, and customer-experience risks; establish priorities, align accountable owners, and track actions through verified closure. 
  • Provide quality leadership during critical product launches, defect escalations, and cross-functional issue-resolution activities. 
  • Analyze development, test, manufacturing, field, service, supplier, and reliability data to identify trends, systemic issues, and improvement opportunities. 
  • Monitor and communicate program status and risk summaries to technical teams and leadership. 
  • Lead or support root-cause analysis, failure analysis, corrective action, and preventive action using structured problem-solving methods. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate defect triage, technical reviews, decision making, and timely escalation of customer-impacting issues. 
  • Support Design for Excellence activities, including Design for Quality, Reliability, Manufacturability, and Serviceability reviews. 
  • Translate development, field, and service lessons into design recommendations, preventive controls, and future program requirements. 
  • Lead lessons-learned reviews and support standardization of quality processes, operating mechanisms, tools, and reporting. 
  • Apply analytics, automation, and AI-enabled methods, where appropriate, to improve quality insights, efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
