Job Description:

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Systems Coordinator is the primary operational link between Engineering, the Integration Team, and Manufacturing during the introduction of new products and first articles. The role owns the coordination and accurate setup of new products in PROMIS, Agile, Oracle, and related factory applications; drives the cross-functional readiness and factory-acceptance process; supports engineers in converting technical requirements into executable manufacturing flows and documentation; and trains the Manufacturing organization before product release. You will be responsible for managing system configuration, troubleshooting IT issues, and supporting the implementation of MES solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

Factory Application and Product Setup

• Own the end-to-end creation, maintenance, validation, and release of new-product and first-article setup in PROMIS, Agile, Oracle, and other manufacturing applications. 
• Receive new-product introductions from the business unit and coordinate the initial review of existing designs, demand, product requirements, and source-factory information. 
• Coordinate the creation and validation of manufacturing routings, operation sequences, part numbers, bills of material, product structures, revision levels, and supporting master data. 
• Work with Process and Equipment Engineering by manufacturing area to define process steps, equipment requirements, toolsets, recipes, and required controls before creating the factory flow. 
• Verify that each manufacturing operation references the correct work instruction, drawing, specification, recipe, material, tooling, inspection, and quality requirement. 
• Coordinate required application changes with Engineering, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, IT/Business Systems, and Manufacturing. 
• Deliver high-level training and support end users, ensuring they are equipped to fully leverage the MES system. 
• Serve as the Manufacturing interface with IT and business-system owners for PROMIS, Xsite, INFICON, and other systems needed to execute and monitor the product flow. 
• Perform readiness checks and resolve or escalate system and data gaps before first-article or production execution. 
• Maintain configuration alignment across PROMIS, Agile, Oracle, released engineering documentation, and the approved factory flow. 

NPI Coordination and Factory Readiness

• Coordinate the cross-functional introduction of new products from initial planning through first article, learning cycles, and manufacturing release. 
• Develop and maintain NPI readiness plans, milestones, action registers, risk lists, and launch schedules. 
• Facilitate NPI readiness reviews and ensure clear ownership, due dates, follow-up, and escalation of open actions. 
• Coordinate design-for-manufacturability review and confirm that requirements are addressed before material is run. 
• Lead the preliminary review and secure formal factory acceptance of the proposed product flow before first-article material is released. 
• Confirm readiness of applications, materials, tooling, equipment, documentation, quality requirements, production controls, and trained personnel before execution. 
• Coordinate first-article builds, learning cycles, and early production activity; document issues, decisions, and lessons learned and drive actions to closure. 
• Finalize and release the approved PROMIS flow after factory acceptance and completion of required changes. 
• Provide clear status communication to functional leaders and stakeholders. 

Product Data and Material Readiness

• Coordinate new-product bill-of-material introduction and ensure required components, consumables, and materials are identified before execution. 
• Coordinate material changes and verify that approved revisions are reflected consistently in Oracle, Agile, PROMIS, work instructions, and production planning. 
• Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to establish ordering requirements, stocking strategy, and appropriate minimum/maximum inventory levels for new products. 
• Track material-readiness risks and escalate shortages, master-data gaps, or ordering constraints that could delay first articles or production release. 

Engineering and Documentation Support

• Assist engineers in preparing, formatting, routing, and releasing manufacturing work instructions and supporting documentation. 
• Translate released engineering requirements into clear, operator-ready execution steps while preserving engineering ownership of technical content and approval. 
• Coordinate reviews to ensure work instructions accurately reflect process sequence, recipes, materials, tooling, safety requirements, inspection criteria, queue-time limits, and reaction plans. 
• Identify inconsistencies among engineering specifications, application data, work instructions, and actual factory execution and coordinate correction. 
• Support document and configuration change control throughout NPI and production release. 

Manufacturing Training and Launch Support

• Develop and coordinate training plans for manufacturing supervisors, technicians, and operators prior to product release. 
• Train the Manufacturing organization on new-product flows, application transactions, work instructions, documentation requirements, and critical quality expectations. 
• Partner with Engineering and subject-matter experts to ensure technical training content is accurate and complete. 
• Maintain training materials, attendance records, qualification checklists, and completion status. 
• Provide hands-on floor support during first articles, learning cycles, and early production until the product is transferred to routine manufacturing ownership. 
• Gather operator feedback and coordinate improvements to documentation, systems, and training. 

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. 
• Experience in IT, PROMIS systems, or a related industry, with hands-on experience using PROMIS MES systems. 
• Experience creating or maintaining product data, manufacturing routings, bills of material, work instructions, or factory master data. 
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across multiple functions and drive actions to completion without direct authority. 
• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, written communication, and verbal communication. 
• Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear manufacturing execution and training content. 
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, supervisors, operators, planners, quality personnel, and business-system teams. 
• Experience with PROMIS or another manufacturing execution system (MES). 
• Experience with Agile PLM, Oracle ERP, or comparable product-lifecycle and enterprise-resource systems. 
• Experience with Xsite, INFICON, or comparable factory monitoring and manufacturing support applications. 
• Experience supporting first articles, engineering builds, product transfers, or factory launches. 
• Experience in semiconductor, probe-card, electronics, medical-device, aerospace, or another controlled manufacturing environment. 
• Experience developing or delivering manufacturing training. 
• Working knowledge of configuration control, engineering change control, quality systems, and document-release processes.
