As a National Technology Apprentice, you will support Microsoft’s efforts to drive long-term market development and digital transformation across public sector and regulated industries. You will help build bridges between technology, policy, regulatory, and customer stakeholders while contributing to initiatives that enable innovation, economic growth, cybersecurity, AI adoption, and cloud transformation.

Working closely with business, technical, legal, and government affairs teams, you will gain exposure to strategic engagements that shape the technology landscape within the UAE.

Responsibilities

Program start date: January 2027

About: Tomoh Program is Microsoft's program for Emiritization, aiming to accelerate Emiratis employability and create market impact through Early-in-Profession recruitment, and skilling programs.

Program overview:  Microsoft Tomoh Apprenticeship is a paid six-month training program that offers globally recognized technical and professional certifications & skills, and on-the-job training to include mentoring, coaching, job shadowing and real-life scenario assignments.

Program Details: The 6 months program is divided into two key phases (Phase 1 - Onboarding & Skilling, Phase 2 - On The Job Training)
Phase one: Onboarding & Skilling Bootcamp (1 month)

  • Onboarding and introduction to Microsoft’s mission, culture, strategy & structure.
  • Technical skilling to obtain globally recognized Microsoft technical certifications.
  • Professional and soft skilling courses including project management, change management, effective interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, and time management.

     

Phase two: On-the-job training (5 months)

  • Joining as a National Technology Officer for on-the-job shadowing and training.
  • Mentorship and coaching sessions.
  • Supporting Microsoft teams in digital transformation projects.
  • Advanced technology trainings including AI, Machine Learning & Cloud Computing. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support market development and technology initiatives across public sector, regulated industries, and strategic national programs.
  • Conduct research on technology trends, AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital transformation, and regulatory developments.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement activities involving customers, government entities, industry organizations, and ecosystem partners.
  • Help identify and analyze policy, regulatory, and market opportunities that support Microsoft's strategic priorities.
  • Support internal teams by gathering insights, preparing presentations, and coordinating strategic projects.
  • Contribute to initiatives that remove technology adoption barriers and accelerate digital transformation outcomes across industries.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft's National Technology Office community to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Emirati National holding UAE Family Book
  • Emirati nationality
  • Legally authorized to work in UAE (Legally authorized = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)
  • Fluency in English
  • Currently completed a Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Public Policy, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for technology and customer impact.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and functions.
  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis, public policy research, technology strategy, or government engagement through academic or extracurricular activities.
