The Senior Commercial Pricing Strategist will shape and drive ISG pricing strategy for NA by evaluating performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending adjustments that align pricing with business and financial objectives. This role will lead the development and management of pricing frameworks balancing growth, margin optimization, and effective market positioning. Serving as a key strategic partner to finance and regional leaders, the senior strategist evaluates pricing performance and makes data-informed recommendations that guide pricing adjustments and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive consistent price setting across products and markets by leading the maintenance of pricing frameworks that supporting strategic and financial objectives.
- Lead analysis of pricing performance to evaluate alignment with business targets, identify improvement opportunities, and guide pricing adjustments.
- Recommend targeted pricing adjustments based on financial analysis, geo-specific market performance, and strategic priorities.
- Assess pricing effectiveness across products, segments, and deal sizes, using win rate and discounting trends to inform strategic pricing actions.
- Evaluate price elasticity and related demand trends to develop actionable recommendations balancing competitiveness and profitability.
- Develop and communicate data-driven recommendations to refine pricing consistency, optimize margins, and strengthen market positioning.
- Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to validate recommendations and ensure geo-specific pricing decisions align with broader strategic and financial objectives
- Communicate pricing recommendations and rationale to senior stakeholders for approval.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented pricing adjustments and recommend further refinements based on performance outcomes.
- Drive a quarterly review of price levels and ongoing price performance summaries.
- Manage high-velocity and channel pricing to ensure they reflect market conditions and business priorities.
- Administer pricing mechanisms designed to support inventory management and sell-through performance.
- Oversee tracking and performance reviews of implemented pricing actions, measuring financial and operational impact to inform future strategy.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in pricing strategy, business analytics, or operations.
- Demonstrated success managing pricing processes across multiple product groups or markets.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.
- Proven experience collaborating across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of technology industry pricing dynamics (infrastructure, servers, and storage).
