Description

Creative X is hiring a Motion Designer who combines motion design craft with creative coding and a systems-building mindset. You will concept, design and animate compelling brand and marketing content, while building the reusable motion components, templates and tools that help that work scale. You should be equally comfortable crafting a finished animation and turning a repeatable production task into a reliable workflow. You will use scripting, procedural techniques and AI-powered tools to expand creative possibilities and reduce manual production work without compromising the creative bar. This is a hands-on creative role. You will independently take projects from brief through delivery, own defined motion systems and workflow improvements, and partner with creative directors, designers, producers and technical partners to make those systems useful beyond a single project.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design and animate motion graphics for marketing campaigns, social content and product launches across Meta’s family of apps and hardware products Translate creative briefs and brand principles into cohesive visual narratives, applying informed judgment in animation, composition, typography, color, and pacing Deliver finished assets across formats and channels, managing priorities, production details and creative feedback across multiple projects Build and maintain modular motion systems, reusable animation components and templates that support creative variation while preserving brand consistency Partner with technical producers or engineers: API integrations and production deployment where needed; use expressions, scripting, procedural techniques, and data-driven animation to automate repeatable tasks such as content population, asset resizing, versioning, and rendering Integrate AI-powered tools into hybrid creative workflows, using prompting, context, and iteration to produce controlled, high-quality outputs rather than one-off experiments Test and refine systems against real production needs, evaluating creative quality, reliability, and efficiency. Troubleshoot failures and improve workflows based on team feedback Document and share reusable tools, templates, and workflow instructions so that other creatives can use and maintain them. Organize source files and assets, and apply brand, technical and responsible AI quality checks before delivery

Qualifications

5+ years of motion design experience creating video marketing assets, social content or brand communications, with a portfolio demonstrating strong animation craft and visual storytelling Proficiency with After Effects and relevant Adobe Creative Suite tools, with demonstrated understanding of composition, color, typography, timing, and pacing Hands-on experience with creative coding or scripting (for example, After Effects, React, or Python) to build animations, tools, or production automations Experience building reusable motion templates, procedural animation setups or creative workflows used across multiple assets or projects, with examples demonstrating both the creative output and the system behind it Hands-on experience with AI-powered creative tools such as Weavy, Krea, Runway, or similar, including integrating generated outputs into finished creative work Demonstrated ability to work independently from a brief, manage concurrent deliverables and collaborate with creative and technical partners in a deadline-driven environment Working knowledge of audio/video formats, codecs, rendering, and delivery requirements, along with organized source-file, asset-management, and versioning practices Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender, character animation or generative and procedural motion techniques applied to brand or product contexts Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience building reusable AI workflow instructions or agent skills, or working with LLM tool use and orchestration to support tasks such as brief analysis, asset generation, template population or creative quality review Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience moving a creative prototype into a repeatable team workflow, including documentation, user feedback, quality checks, and demonstrated efficiency or quality improvements Experience contributing to or maintaining a brand or design system with motion principles, animation components, and scalable adaptation workflows Experience applying responsible AI practices, including reviewing generated content for bias, accuracy, and creative quality, and evaluating emerging tools for practical use in production Experience connecting creative tools through APIs, custom plugins, or node-based automation platforms (for example, Claude MCPs, Adobe scripting or Comfy UI)
