About Hark

Hark is an artificial intelligence company building advanced, personalized intelligence. One that is proactive, multimodal, and capable of interacting with the world through speech, text, vision, and persistent memory.

We're pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. While today's AI largely operates through chat boxes and decade-old devices, Hark is focused on what comes next: agentic systems that interact naturally with people and the real world.

To get there, we're developing multimodal models and next-generation AI hardware together - designed from the ground up as a single, unified interface for a new era of intelligent systems.

About the Role

Hark is a personal AI assistant that handles everyday tasks for people, from booking and buying to planning and keeping track of what matters. We're hiring an AI Product Specialist to own the quality of the experience people have with Hark.

You'll test the product end to end, find where it falls short, and drive the fixes that make it better. This is a hands-on, high-ownership individual contributor role on a small, new team, and the results of your work will be visible directly in the product.

Responsibilities

  • Create Product Guidelines: Write, test, and continuously refine the guidelines that shape how Hark handles real-world tasks, and own them as the product grows.
  • Quality Bar: Define what a great experience looks like for each task, and hold the product to it.
  • End-to-End Testing: Put Hark through real tasks the way a customer would, find where it falls short, and trace every failure to its root cause.
  • Fix and Verify: Drive each issue to resolution with engineering and design, and confirm the fix actually works before calling it done.
  • Competitive and Impact Analysis: Benchmark Hark head to head against other AI products, and use data to measure how each product change affects the customer experience.
  • Release Readiness: Grade AI outputs, build test sets, and recommend whether a new version is ready to ship.

Requirements

  • Track Record: 2+ years owning demanding, high-stakes work end to end, in any field.
  • Strong attention to detail. You know what separates a good experience from a great one.
  • Clear written and oral communication. You can defend a recommendation on the page and out loud.
  • Exceptional Root-Cause Thinking. You trace a problem past the symptom to why it happened, and drive the fix.
  • Strong Data-Driven Decision Making. You use data to tell whether a change actually worked, and act on what it shows.
  • Self-starter who owns outcomes and stays rigorous through high-volume, iterative work.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with prompt engineering and evals
  • Background in management consulting or investment banking.
  • Experience in e-commerce, payments, travel, or other consumer transactions.
