The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you’ll make
Lead China DFS workforce planning and operations strategy to ensure workforce readiness, resource optimization, and successful execution of customer commitments. Partner with Account Teams, GFO, HR, Finance, and Service Leadership to drive manpower planning, hiring strategy, ramp readiness, resource deployment, and operational excellence.
What you’ll do
- Lead quarterly and long-range workforce planning and forecasting.
- Drive headcount planning, hiring strategy, and workforce gap closure.
- Ensure manpower readiness for customer ramps, expansions, and technology transitions.
- Optimize utilization of FSE, FPE, and LSP resources across the region.
- Develop workforce analytics, dashboards, and executive reviews.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve operational performance and resource flexibility.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in workforce planning processes, tools, and governance.
- Develop talent pipelines and succession plans to support business growth.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in operations, workforce planning, business operations, or field service.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience in forecasting, resource planning, and operational execution.
- Semiconductor or field service industry experience preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
