Mechanical Construction Superintendent

As a Mechanical Construction Superintendent, your primary responsibility is to manage, coordinate, and supervise field operations of multiple fast-paced projects and ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule. Be able to manage changes quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities & subcontractors in the installation of dry mechanical, wet mechanical, process, hydronics, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems and equipment

• Develop/Review daily and weekly mechanical execution plans and schedules for critical infrastructure projects to anticipate challenges and mitigate risk

• Ensure frequent communication with key project individuals, job site personnel, and Project Manager 

• Drive work activities to meet or exceed project schedule, remove project constraints, and elevate construction issues to management

• Responsible for daily reporting and progress tracking work with Project Manager for accurately maintaining logs and updates

• Schedule and support quality control inspections, commissioning activities, and site safety inspections

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing the applicable Federal, State, Local, and OSHA regulations 

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction experience in Dry Mechanical, Wet Mechanical, Process, Hydronics, Plumbing, HVAC, and related systems 

• Previous experience as a Superintendent on commercial/industrial facility construction & MEP dense projects (e.g., hospitals, airports, data centers, manufacturing facilities) with proficiency in mechanical systems design, installation, trade coordination, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting

• Cross-discipline experience and proficiency in electrical and/or civil, structural, architectural is a plus

• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and aggressive goals

• Thorough understanding of construction design documents and ability to provide constructability feedback prior to and during construction; and high-level proficiency and experience with construction industry software such as Bluebeam, 3D model viewing software, CxAlloy, or similar

• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and environmental regulations

• OSHA 30 certification, Relevant mechanical trade licenses, Electrical Systems Experience, and LEED/ASHRAE certifications are a plus
