The impact you’ll make
As a Materials Planner at Lam, you play a vital role in coordinating the movement of materials throughout the production cycle. You determine material requirements and specifications, produce needed materials, and maintain bills of materials (BOM). Your expertise in material management will help shape Lam's streamline and cost-effective production processes.
What you’ll do
Responsible for assuring the availability of replenishment spare parts and upgrade kits for North America customers, as well as for regional depots in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Manage the planning and resupply of material for an assigned set of parts in support of organizational asset management and customer service goals.
Rely on both the analysis of historical consumption and the technical expertise of new product evaluation.
Implement ERP planning parameter changes as determined by the established process of parameter review against demand and installed base.
Review and react to MRP exception messages to correct due-date shortfalls in planned supply, with a focus on specific customer account requirements for material availability and corporate financial results for asset management.
Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action analyses for unexpected or undesirable results and present them to management.
Who we’re looking for
Strong skills in service parts and spare parts planning.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems skills.
Proficiency in SAP MM or experience working in another ERP platform.
MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Access.
High energy, strong work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Proven ability to analyze, document, and improve business processes with sustained results.
High level of customer-facing skills; effective listener, professional, and courteous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate cross-functionally.
Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Experience in MRP-based planning for spare parts.
- Engineering degree in Industrial Production or Mechanical Engineering.
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
