What you'll do

The Materials Team is responsible for the management of inventory process controls to ensure cost, schedule and quality goals are met in the execution of global fulfilment contractural requirements. The Materials Specialist will source inventory reqeusts from Operations, Planning, Test and Engineering teams to ensure schedule is met for on-time customer deliverables. The Materials Specialist is encouraged to participate in cross-functional improvement projects.   They will work with key collaborators throughout the company to provide inputs to our inventory management system and evaluate it for improvement opportunities.   

The day-to-day
  • Perform cycle counts 
  • Monitor and performing systematic inventory transactions
  • Process inbounding materials from Receiving to Stockroom locations
  • Review and process material requests via electronic templates or assigned work on moble RF devices
What you'll need
  • 5+ years’ experience in material control and physical inventory maintenance  
  • Experience with warehouse inventory stocking, receipt processing and consumption practices in a high-tech manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating powered industrialized trucks (forklifts and reach lifts)
  • Experience using the Oracle Inventory and Manufacturing modules with projected data
  • Proficient with Hazardous Material handling and storage
  • Prominent level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
What will help you on the job
  • Experince with cycle counting processes and variance resolution
  • Proficient in receipt and handling of Shelf Life Limited and Moisture Sensitive materials 
  • Ability to analyze internal reports and metrics to identify areas of opportunity to drive value-based decisions 
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Salary range

$21.63 - $34.13 / hourly. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $26.68 - $40.14/ hourly
