Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packaging, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations. This role ensures timely movement of materials to support manufacturing, service, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and place inventory into designated stockroom locations.
- Pick parts and materials for manufacturing, production, or service kits.
- Prepare, package, and label materials for domestic and international shipments.
- Process shipping transactions and create shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and customs paperwork.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities using ERP systems and warehouse tools.
- Conduct inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and condition.
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required.
- Support warehouse organization, housekeeping, and safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with Planning, Production, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to ensure on-time material availability and deliveries.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
