Responsibilities:

We are looking for 2x Master Thesis students to work on our team and go deep in any of a wide range of problem spaces (individuals and pairs). While we welcome a variety of research approaches, we are especially interested in projects that incorporate Generative AI or Machine Learning technologies. If you’re excited about leveraging these transformative techniques to tackle challenges in game development, we would love to hear your ideas!

For this current hiring cycle, we are looking for candidates interested in exploring subjects such as:

  • Crash Analysis & Grouping: Leverage machine learning and natural language processing pipelines to analyze editor crash data, call stacks, and local log files, automatically grouping crashes with similar technical causes.
  • Combined Code & Asset: Combine code history with asset and configuration changes in version control to identify the exact combination of changes causing editor issues.
  • Session Replay & Reproduction: Convert user session telemetry and logs into executable test scripts to automatically reproduce local editor crashes in a headless environment.

An open application means that you can provide ideas for what you want to work on, but we can also explore this together, based on your experiences and interests. If you have a thesis partner in mind, please make sure both of you apply individually and reference your partner's name in your applications.

Eligibility:

  • You are pursuing a MsC. in Computer Science (or similar)
  • You are associated with a university education or any other type of education in Sweden that has an internship period planned into the education plan.

Skills:

  • You are interested in working in games
  • You have experience in Unity, Unreal, Maya or Houdini
  • You have experience in C++ or C#, depending on the topic

Help us make play happen. Apply now with an up-to-date CV and Cover Letter in English, explaining what project you would like to work on and explain your pick based on your interests and skills.
