About Avoca

Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.

We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 170+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.

In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.

About the Role

As Marketing Web Designer/Developer, you will own avoca.ai end to end as a critical lever in our funnel: how it looks, how it performs, and how well it converts. Reporting directly to our Head of Growth, you'll be a design-first hybrid, exceptional in Figma, capable in code, and driven by the numbers. You'll own the surface where most of our market meets us for the first time.

You'll partner with our Creative Designer on visual language, our Creative Producer on motion and film, and with Product Marketing on launches and campaigns. You'll turn campaign and growth ideas into live pages quickly, then use data to make them better.

What You'll Do

  • Own avoca.ai end to end: design in Figma, build, ship, and keep the site current as the product and positioning evolve.
  • Own website performance. Monitor and report on conversion rate, demo requests/trial starts, and traffic, and tell us what's working and what isn't.
  • Run rigorous A/B tests and iterative experiments to optimize conversion across the funnel. Keep a test backlog and share results, including losses.
  • Determine how AI should merge with our website strategy: evaluate and implement AI-powered personalization, chatbots, content generation, testing tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Turn a complex AI product into something people understand in seconds. Create UI mockups, diagrams, animations, and hero visuals, and product graphics that work across web, print, and animation.
  • Design and ship launch assets and campaign experiences: launch pages, microsites, interactive tools, calculators, an integration library, competitive landing pages, and pages for paid, SEO, and ABM. Partner with marketing, product, and sales, and turn their ideas into live pages quickly.
  • Build and maintain our Framer component and CMS system and design system, with Figma-to-site parity, so new pages ship fast.
  • Build templates and train AI design tools so the team can spin up on-brand pages without waiting on you.
  • Design interaction and motion on the web (hero animations, scroll-driven moments, the homepage live-performance counter), integrating the Creative Producer's film and motion.
  • Own technical health: page speed, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, basic SEO
  • Own technical decisions for the marketing stack: CMS, framework, hosting, and deploy workflow.

What You'll Bring

  • 4-7+ years in marketing web design, in-house at a B2B SaaS company or at an agency.
  • A strong portfolio with real visual craft and a point of view across web, brand, and graphic work, including shipped marketing sites you designed and built.
  • Hands-on Framer experience, including CMS collections, reusable components, and responsive layouts.
  • Fluency in Figma (design system thinking, component variants, auto-layout, libraries) and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working front-end skills: HTML/CSS/JS, with React/Next.js a plus. You can build what you design without a handoff.
  • Experience with a site migration or rebuild, including SEO basics.
  • Experience with analytics and reporting (GA4 or similar), and a track record of turning data into design decisions.
  • Hands-on experience running A/B tests and conversion optimization, with results you can talk through.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in design and web work (AI design/dev tools, personalization, chatbots, content generation), ideally including building templates or workflows others can use.
  • Strong communication with designers, marketers, and executives, and comfort owning a surface independently.

Nice to Have

  • Motion design (After Effects, Rive, Lottie, GSAP) or basic video editing
  • B2B SaaS or AI product experience
  • HubSpot, heatmap, or session-replay tool experience

Who You Are

  • A designer who codes, with real taste you can defend with reasons and a willingness to change your mind when the data says so.
  • Obsessed with the line between brand and performance. You won't ship anything ugly, and you won't ship anything that doesn't convert.
  • A shipper who would rather launch a strong version and iterate than polish in private.
  • Someone who makes complex things look simple.
  • Curious about AI and quick to test emerging tools, rather than waiting for them to mature.
  • Deeply collaborative with Growth, Product Marketing, and Creative.
  • In-office, engaged, and eager to lead from the front at our NYC location full-time.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-sponsored 401(k) through Vestwell
  • Flexible PTO plus U.S. federal holidays
  • Company-wide off-sites
  • Daily in-office lunch through Parkday
  • Dinner covered when working late
  • Commuter benefits and late-night rideshare
  • Standing desks and workspace accommodations available on request
  • All core tools and software provided
