Manufacturing Vertical Leader – Solutions & Services Group (SSG)
Within Lenovo’s Solutions and Services Group (SSG), we are accelerating a global industry-led growth strategy, focused on strengthening and scaling vertical-specific solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes for our customers.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Vertical Leader to enhance, expand, and scale Lenovo’s existing Manufacturing industry portfolio. This role is responsible for building on an established foundation and transforming it into a high-growth, market-leading vertical business.
You will refine where to play, sharpen the go-to-market strategy, and elevate industry-specific solutions—while driving stronger sales development, increasing pipeline velocity, and expanding Lenovo’s footprint across discrete and process manufacturing sectors.
This role reports to the Global Vice President of Sales – Global Accounts & Verticals and carries end-to-end accountability for Manufacturing vertical growth and performance.
In one line: A results-driven vertical leader who can take an existing Manufacturing portfolio, enhance its market relevance, accelerate pipeline creation, and scale it into a leading, profitable growth engine.
Key Responsibilities
Vertical Portfolio Expansion & Go-to-Market Leadership
- Own the end-to-end growth and evolution of Lenovo’s Manufacturing vertical portfolio, building on existing capabilities to drive accelerated revenue
- Assess and refine the current portfolio, identifying gaps, expansion opportunities, and high-growth sub-vertical plays (e.g., automotive, industrial, high-tech manufacturing)
- Enhance and package SSG’s existing services portfolio—including Digital Workplace Solutions, Hybrid Cloud Solutions, Sustainability, and TruScale—into differentiated, industry-specific solutions for Manufacturing clients
- Align offerings to key Manufacturing priorities such as smart factory transformation, Industry 4.0, edge computing, supply chain resilience, and sustainability
- Evolve and optimize vertical sales motions, including segmentation, value proposition, coverage models, and route-to-market strategy
- Strengthen Lenovo’s Manufacturing go-to-market strategy, increasing market relevance and competitive differentiation
- Scale and standardize repeatable GTM models that improve pipeline consistency and revenue predictability
Sales Development & Pipeline Acceleration
- Strengthen and expand demand generation and sales development engines to increase pipeline across existing and underpenetrated Manufacturing segments
- Improve pipeline quality, conversion rates, and sales velocity
- Expand footprint within strategic Manufacturing accounts while driving new logo acquisition
- Accelerate growth through strategic deals, lighthouse clients, and expanded customer relationships
- Translate existing traction into greater scale, predictability, and sustained revenue growth
Team Leadership & Organizational Alignment
- Lead and evolve a multi-disciplinary Manufacturing vertical team, including Offering Development, Solutions Architects, and specialized Manufacturing Sales Executives
- Align teams across offering innovation, technical solutioning, and sales execution to deliver integrated, outcome-based solutions
- Strengthen team capabilities to support both portfolio enhancement and next-stage growth
- Recruit and develop talent to match the technical and domain depth required in Manufacturing environments
- Establish clear accountability and operating rhythms to drive performance and collaboration
Ecosystem & Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Partner with Service Offerings, Product, Marketing, Delivery, and ecosystem partners to refine and expand Manufacturing-specific solutions
- Build and strengthen partnerships across OEMs, ISVs, and system integrators relevant to Manufacturing transformation
- Align global and regional teams around Manufacturing vertical priorities and execution plans
Operational Excellence
- Own vertical performance metrics, including pipeline growth, revenue, win rate, attach rate, and margin
- Use data and insights to continuously refine strategy, optimize execution, and prioritize investments
Basic Qualifications
- 12–15+ years of experience in enterprise sales, vertical GTM, or business leadership within technology or services
- Proven track record of scaling and evolving an existing Manufacturing or industry vertical portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to improve pipeline generation, sales effectiveness, and revenue performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Manufacturing industry, including discrete or process manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0, smart factory, IoT/edge, or digital transformation initiatives
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams spanning sales, solutioning, and offering development
- Experience shaping and closing complex, multi-year services deals
- Strong ability to optimize and scale go-to-market models and sales motions
- Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is 250,000–400,000 USD. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
