You'll work in the world's most advanced manufacturing facilities, solve customer problems around the world and build strong analysis and problem-solving skills. This position provides the opportunity to drive continual improvement at all levels. Our quality team is primarily focused on driving improved systems and tools and providing a consistent and positive relationship with our business partners. We are searching for a self-directed, highly motivated engineer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to, and develop expertise in working across teams inside and outside of one of Texas Instruments' fabs. The selected candidate will be given assignments and projects that are meaningful, challenging and that provide an outstanding experience, while contributing to the success of Texas Instruments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and monitor supplier quality performance including PPM, yield, reject rates and customer complaints.
  • Establish and maintain supplier quality requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct supplier audits and process assessments.
  • Perform in-house buy off/inspection of incoming materials, components prior release to production.
  • Support new supplier’s qualifications and evaluations.
  • Lead investigation of incoming material and supplier-related quality issues.
  • Work with suppliers to identify failure mechanisms and establish effective containment.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement and manufacturing for lot disposition.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects with suppliers.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other related engineering degrees.
  • Minimum CGPA 3.3 and above
  • Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experiences
  • Candidates with quality engineering in semiconductor industry will be added advantage

Preferred qualifications:

  • Supplier audit experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 relevant quality standards is preferred.
  • Semiconductor package/lead frame/substrate/molding/plating knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical mindset with risk-based thinking.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
  • Familiar with Spotfire, 8D, Root cause analysis techniques, Quality Management System will be an added advantage
