Manufacturing Process Excellence Executive
Position: Manufacturing Process Excellence Executive– Lean & Sustainability
Location : Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Aurangabad
This is your role. What part will you play?
Key Responsibilities
• Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement:
o Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across GIS manufacturing and assembly operations to improve productivity, quality, capacity, cost and lead time.
o Identify and eliminate the 8 wastes through structured Lean methodologies and shopfloor improvement activities.
o Lead Kaizen initiatives and promote a continuous improvement culture across manufacturing operations.
o Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify process losses, bottlenecks, non-value-added activities and improvement opportunities.
o Implement Lean principles including Standard Work, Pull Systems, Kanban, JIT and flow-based manufacturing.
o Drive 5S, visual management and Lean maturity across production areas.
o Conduct Gemba walks and process audits to identify gaps, drive actions and sustain improvements.
• Productivity Improvement & Capacity analysis:
o Conduct MOST / Time Study and establish standard times for manufacturing operations.
o Perform man-hour, productivity and manpower analysis to identify opportunities for resource optimization.
o Calculate Takt Time and perform Line Balancing to improve resource utilization and production flow.
o Conduct capacity analysis and identify opportunities to increase capacity without proportional increases in manpower or infrastructure.
o Analyse cycle time, bottlenecks, process constraints and manufacturing losses to identify productivity improvement opportunities.
o Optimize workstation design, operator movement, ergonomics and manufacturing layouts.
o Identify opportunities for process simplification, motion reduction and cycle-time reduction.
o Improve production and material flow to enhance workstation utilization and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Process Optimization, Automation & Digital Manufacturing:
o Convert identified manufacturing losses and process constraints into improvement opportunities across productivity, capacity, quality, cost, lead time and space utilization.
o Identify opportunities for automation, mechanization and technology deployment to improve productivity, ergonomics, quality and process efficiency.
o Support development and implementation of solutions such as robotics/cobots, material handling systems, sensors and other Industry 4.0 technologies.
o Use digital tools and data analytics to support fact-based manufacturing improvement and decision-making.
o Develop and maintain manufacturing dashboards and digital solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Microsoft Lists and Forms.
Sustainability & Resource Optimization:
o Act as a Sustainability Driver within manufacturing operations by integrating sustainability into Lean and productivity improvement initiatives.
o Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, material consumption, process waste, movement, space utilization and resource losses.
o Drive initiatives that improve resource efficiency, energy efficiency and sustainable manufacturing.
o Quantify and track sustainability benefits wherever measurable.
Project Management & Business Impact:
o Lead Lean, Industrial Engineering, productivity, process improvement and automation projects from problem identification through implementation and benefit realization.
o Develop project charters, action plans, timelines and measurable KPIs.
o Quantify business benefits related to productivity, manpower, capacity, cost, lead time, quality, space and sustainability.
o Support preparation of business cases for productivity, process improvement and automation initiatives.
o Monitor project performance and ensure sustained implementation and benefit realization.
Technical Skills
o Strong hands-on knowledge & working experience of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
o Industrial Engineering tools including MOST / Time Study, man-hour analysis, capacity planning and productivity analysis.
o Knowledge of workstation design, ergonomics, operator movement and manufacturing layout optimization.
o Strong understanding of process flow, material flow, bottleneck analysis and cycle time improvement.
o Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts, Power BI / manufacturing dashboards for productivity and performance monitoring is preferred.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a Gemba-oriented and action-driven approach.
o Data-driven mindset with the ability to convert manufacturing data into actionable improvement opportunities.
o Strong project management and execution capabilities along with Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Ability to communicate technical improvement concepts effectively to both shopfloor and management teams.
o Ability to influence teams and drive sustainable change on the shopfloor.
We don't need superheroes, just super minds
o You are a Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineer (B.E. / B.Tech).
o You have 4–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement.
o You have strong hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering tools.
o You have practical experience in VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Takt Time, Line Balancing, MOST / Time Study and Waste Elimination.
o You have an interest in automation, digital manufacturing and technology-enabled process improvement.
o You have experience or interest in using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Lists and Forms for manufacturing data and digitalization.
o Experience in GIS, switchgear, electrical equipment, heavy engineering or discrete / assembly manufacturing is preferred.
o You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
o You are comfortable working directly on the shopfloor and with cross-functional teams
