Role Summary

Join the Order Management team supporting the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation, Power Protection and Automation business at the new PACS facility in Wendell, North Carolina. You will coordinate assigned customer orders across SIPANEL engineered panel production, SIPROTEC 5 device production, and the SIPROTEC Return and Repair Center.

Working with experienced order-management professionals, you will connect customer requirements with engineering, procurement, production, quality, logistics, repair operations, and finance. You will maintain accurate order information, support realistic delivery dates, and help resolve issues before they affect customers.

This role is designed for an experienced professional who can manage defined orders independently while continuing to build broader manufacturing and supply-chain judgment. You will use SAP and operating reviews to track priorities, material readiness, schedule risk, and delivery status.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, responsive, and comfortable coordinating across functions. This is an individual-contributor role and does not include direct people-management responsibility.

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Managing assigned customer orders from acceptance and planning through production or repair, shipment, invoicing readiness, and closure.
  • Maintaining accurate sales-order, production-order, repair, requirement, and delivery data in SAP and related systems.
  • Coordinating order priorities and status across engineering, material planning, production, testing, quality, logistics, and repair operations.
  • Supporting SIPANEL project orders by tracking engineering readiness, material availability, assembly, testing, and shipment milestones.
  • Supporting SIPROTEC 5 production and return-and-repair orders by tracking configurations, components, capacity, testing, and delivery commitments.
  • Identifying schedule, material, documentation, quality, or logistics risks and escalating them with clear facts, owners, and due dates.
  • Updating backlog, past-due, material-readiness, schedule-adherence, repair-turnaround, and delivery-status reports for operating reviews.
  • Communicating order changes and recovery actions to internal partners while keeping customer commitments and business priorities visible.
  • Contributing to standard work, cleaner handoffs, and continuous improvement as the new PACS facility grows.

You'll Win Us Over By Having

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years coordinating customer, production, project, service, or repair orders in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or a comparable industrial environment.
  • 1+ year of hands-on ERP experience involving sales orders, production orders, materials, scheduling, delivery dates, or order status.
  • Experience working across at least two functions such as production, engineering, procurement, material planning, quality, logistics, project management, repair operations, or finance.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to organize data, communicate risks, and maintain accurate follow-up actions.
  • Ability to work on-site in Wendell, North Carolina, with schedule flexibility when required by production or critical customer commitments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in order management, production control, supply chain, logistics, customer operations, or factory operations.
  • 2+ years using SAP SD, PP, MM, PS, or related order-management functionality.
  • Experience with engineer-to-order manufacturing, electrical equipment, electronic-device production, or return-and-repair operations.
  • Experience using backlog reports, material-readiness reviews, delivery dashboards, or schedule-recovery plans.
  • Experience supporting a factory start-up, product transfer, process launch, or continuous-improvement initiative.

Why This Role Matters

The PACS facility brings together engineered panel production, protection-device manufacturing, and return-and-repair services. Accurate order data and disciplined follow-up help each workflow operate with clear priorities, realistic dates, and early visibility to risks.

Your work will support dependable customer delivery, timely invoicing, stable factory execution, and scalable processes. The role also provides a practical growth path toward broader order ownership and senior-level manufacturing order management.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Assigned orders have accurate status, dates, requirements, and ownership in SAP and supporting reports.
  • Order risks are identified early, escalated with useful facts, and followed through to closure.
  • Production and repair teams receive clear priorities supported by current material and schedule information.
  • Backlog and past-due reviews show consistent follow-up, documented actions, and improved delivery predictability.
  • Standard work and cross-functional handoffs become more consistent as the new facility matures.
