Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. As part of the SEO team at Apple, you will be directly responsible for shaping the voice of Apple products in organic search to billions of people. Our SEO presence is an extension of Apple’s marketing — and needs to be at the same level of quality.

Description

We're looking for a hands-on leader who can build and motivate a high-performing team. You have a deep command of SEO best practices, and you'll guide your team from first idea to delivery on complex projects that move the business forward. You build strong relationships across Apple and champion your team's work at every level.

  • Manage a team that develops and executes strategies to strengthen Apple's presence across AI platforms, AI-powered search experiences (e.g., AI Overviews, conversational search, answer engines), and agentic commerce workflows, where AI agents discover, evaluate, and transact on behalf of users
  • Own the organic search strategy for Apple products and services across multiple digital platforms, including but not limited to Apple's marketing site and online store
  • Build, mentor, and grow a team of technical SEO program managers in an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes

    Responsibilities

    • Hire, coach, and develop technical SEO program managers by setting clear goals, sharing regular feedback, and building an inclusive culture that supports career growth and diverse perspectives
    • Define and own Apple's long-term roadmap for technical SEO, AI search, and agentic commerce, including prioritizing the feature backlog and guiding projects with developer teams from idea to production
    • Partner with content, marketing, product, and engineering leaders to build SEO requirements into all digital efforts and product launches
    • Lead the working group that sets shared processes and cross-functional operational standards for future platforms
    • Oversee monitoring, analysis, and reporting on SEO performance, AI search trends, and agentic commerce developments, and make data-driven decisions that shape broader search strategy; champion on-page experiences grounded in UX/UI best practices
    • Manage executive relationships within Apple (advocating for SEO initiatives and securing headcount and resources) and externally with search engines (Google, Bing) and AI platform providers

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 10+ years of SEO experience with a global brand or digital agency
    • 4+ years of directly managing SEO, technical marketing, or program management teams
    • Experience with AIO / GEO / AEO
    • Solid track record of managing complex, time-critical technical projects
    • In-depth knowledge of current SEO best practices across all major worldwide search engines
    • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Profound, seoClarity, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 13+ years of SEO experience
    • Experience in the technology and/or e-commerce industry
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages
    • Experience with emerging standards such as MCP (Model Context Protocol), UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol), APC (Agentic Commerce Protocol), WebMCP, and others
    • Experience building or scaling an SEO function within a large, matrixed organization
    • Track record of building diverse, inclusive teams and developing talent into future leaders

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,200 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
