Role Summary

Fantastic opportunity to join McAfee Global Procurement Services (GPS) that is going through an exciting transformation to enhance its service offering and experience to our stakeholders and team members.

Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement, the Procurement Excellence Lead will play a pivotal role implementing, optimizing and streamlining our procurement processes. You will be responsible to ensure that Procurement operations are carried out efficiently and effectively, resulting in value creation, improved supplier relationships and increased procurement performance. To enable this, you will be expected to bring process innovation and optimization through the entire supplier lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive procurement best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a Hybrid position located in Spain. You may be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis in our Madrid office. Our approach to hybrid work is built on flexibility, trust, and purpose. We measure impact and when we come together, it’s intentional and energizing.
Position Details

About the Role:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and drives best practice in Procurement processes, coordinates efforts to continually improve those processes and manages the change associated with implementation of initiatives across the Procurement function and the wider business. 
  • Defines and owns the Supplier Lifecycle process and drives adherence including Sourcing, Onboarding, Contract Management, Performance Management, Strategic Relationship Management and Offboarding. 
  • Lead a team that covers Governance, SRM, TPRM and Procurement Operations.  
  • Ensures procurement activities are compliant to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Proactively identify and mitigate potential procurement risks. 
  • Drives the Corporate Sustainability (ESG) agenda across Global Procurement Services (GPS) our supplier ecosystem.   
  • Continuously review the Sourcing, Purchasing and Contracting processes and systems to identify gaps in efficiency and opportunities for improvements. 
  • Conducts high quality analysis of processes and systems using analytical and quantitative methods and tools to identify fact-based and focused improvement opportunities.
  • Leads and coordinate change management activities and project implementation in an effective manner using project management tools; lead and support change management / continuous improvement activities, tool-rollouts and / or process implementations in a matrix organization across multiple countries and operating entities.
  • Owns and manages interfaces and relationships with relevant stakeholders, i.e. Category Management, Sourcing, Master Data Management, Accounts Payable, Data Privacy or Legal.
  • Champions change and the McAfee culture as a leader within the Procurement organization.
  • Conducts training sessions and workshops for procurement staff and other relevant departments to educate them on procurement best practices, policies, and procedures. 

About You:

  • 10 years of professional experience in procurement operations, sourcing/category management functions. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management.
  • Extensive experience in the design and execution of Process Improvement (e.g., Six Sigma).  
  • Excellent and proven communication and influencing skills to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.  
  • Strong data analytical abilities to drive actionable insights and develop compelling messages.
  • Proven ability for effective and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Passion for working in a fast paced and innovative business environment. 
  • Proven ability to challenge current practices, seek alternative options and challenge convention.  
  • Have experience in leading and developing teams.  
  • Able to work without supervision and is adaptable to changes in the work environment including the reassessment of category and business priorities.
  • Procurement/Supply Chain certification preferred (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS, SPSM, or CSCP).
