Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Own demand planning process for the Consumer Product portfolio across all categories.
• Analyze market demand signals, sales trends, channel inventory, promotions, and business plans to develop accurate forecasts.
• Partner with Sales and Category teams to align short-term, medium-term, and long-term demand plans.
• Drive continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance forecast accuracy.
• Lead monthly demand reviews and consensus forecasting discussions with key stakeholders.
Supply Planning & Fulfillment
• Manage supply planning and replenishment to ensure optimum product availability across channels.
• Ensure timely loading of long-term forecasts and replenishment orders as per planning calendar.
• Collaborate closely with AP supply demand and fulfillment teams to secure supply and mitigate shortages.
• Proactively identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize business disruption.
• Drive achievement of service-level and product availability targets.
Inventory Management
• Own inventory health across Lenovo finished goods inventory and Tier-1 distribution partners.
• Establish and manage inventory norms, safety stock policies, and coverage targets.
• Optimize inventory investments while minimizing excess, ageing, and obsolete inventory.
• Lead inventory review forums and recommend actions to improve overall inventory productivity.
Sales & Business Alignment
• Partner with Sales teams to align quarterly guidance, sell-through plans, and allocation strategies.
• Lead monthly demand and indent review discussions to establish market-wise planning assumptions.
• Share and review sell-through coverage and performance metrics with business teams.
• Continuously drive improvements in sell-through planning accuracy and execution.
Channel & Distributor Planning
• Work closely with Distribution teams and Tier-1 partners to improve channel planning effectiveness.
• Provide distributor-level sell-in projections and planning guidance.
• Lead product roadmap and inventory planning discussions with channel partners.
• Support initiatives to improve channel inventory efficiency and reduce ageing inventory.
Business Performance & Analytics
• Develop and present regular planning dashboards and KPI reviews for senior leadership.
• Monitor demand-supply performance, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and fulfillment metrics.
• Generate actionable business insights and recommend corrective actions to improve operational performance.
• Support S&OP and business planning processes through data-driven analysis.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Initiatives
• Drive Make-in-India planning requirements and inventory localization objectives.
• Identify and lead process improvement and automation initiatives across planning operations.
• Contribute to digital transformation, planning excellence, and supply chain optimization projects.
• Champion best practices in demand and supply planning.
