Amazon India is seeking a Manager, Category Manager (MCM) to lead the Home Entertainment (HE) business — one of the largest and most strategically important categories within Consumer Electronics. This role demands high ownership, strategic thinking, and operational excellence to deliver customer-centric growth while driving profitability across a complex ecosystem of brands, sellers, and internal teams.

The Manager, Category Manager will own the end-to-end P&L, with accountability for topline growth, contribution margin, and long-term brand creation in India’s dynamic television market. The role involves managing a team of high-performing individuals and building strategic partnerships with global manufacturers and domestic sellers to expand Amazon’s selection and value proposition for customers.

Key job responsibilities
  • P&L Ownership: End-to-end ownership of the Home Entertainment business, delivering topline growth, contribution margin, and free cash flow targets.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team comprising category managers, program managers, and business analysts. Drive clarity of goals, accountability, and mentorship.
  • Brand Creation: Build and scale new brands by collaborating with manufacturers in China, the US, and Korea, leveraging deep supply-side relationships and product development expertise.
  • Selection Expansion: Introduce high-quality, relevant selection tailored to Indian customer needs and preferences across varied price points.
  • Profitability Levers: Identify and execute initiatives across Ads, Co-op, Seller Reimbursements, and Brand Mix to optimize profitability and deliver CMLF goals.
  • Customer Experience: Partner with Marketing, Ops, and Product teams to deliver industry-leading customer experience across detail pages, delivery, and post-purchase.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the annual operating plan, balancing short-term inputs with long-term category strategy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience at a senior level in the fashion industry ideally in an e-commerce, retail, key account management or consulting role

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
