Description

We are seeking an engineering technician/machinist who will be responsible for prototyping sheet metal parts & machined parts. Candidate must have a strong work ethic, be safety conscious, display attention to detail, be adaptable, have good communication skills and be able to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate LASER cutting tools.
  • Perform conventional & CNC milling operation.
  • Perform conventional & CNC turning operation.
  • Sheet metal working.
  • Perform calibrations on equipment.
  • Provide feedback on manufacturing methods.
  • Complete required preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct experiments in accordance with all safety, quality, and efficiency standards by following written and verbal work instructions.
  • Data collection, documentation and data input.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.

Requirements

  • Experience with CAM modelling & G-Code programming.
  • Experience in assembly, hands-on experience with sheet metal components
  • Strong technical attitude and experience in dimensional precision measurement, inspection hardware.
  • Experience in maintenance & fault detection in manufacturing machines.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing systems. Hands-on maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Extensive training in safety practices and able to assess tasks/situations to determine what equipment is needed and develop/communicate procedures necessary to accomplish a task while ensuring worker safety.
  • Knowledge on DFM and GD&T
  • Welding Certification is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and communicate in English fluently in speaking, reading, and writing.
