Machine Operator, Ceramic Materials

Description

Tesla is seeking a machine operator to join our ceramic material team. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve machine operation for material synthesis. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to develop cutting-edge technologies that support sustainable transportation, energy storage, and generation. 

Responsibilities

• Operate materials synthesis equipment such as shear mixers, ball mills, muffle furnaces, and tube furnaces 

• Conduct ceramic fabrication processes: slurry mixing,  thermal processing 

• Operate ceramic material testing equipment for routine performance evaluation 

• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment 

Requirements

• Experience in powder metallurgy, ceramics, cement, or other powder-processing industries
• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting powder-processing and production equipment.
• Experience working with kilns, furnaces, ovens, mills, mixers, presses, or similar industrial equipment.
• Experience with material handling, weighing, batching, and preparation of powder-based materials.
• Experience working in a pilot line, manufacturing, or scale-up environment is a plus.
• Commitment to safe working practices, quality, and accurate documentation.
• Ability to lift 25kg
