LINK 2027: Software Development Intensive Program

This program will focus on current sophomores (those in their second year of university).

Where: New York City, NY - Five Rings HQ
When: LINK is offered in three one-week sessions:

  • LINK[0]: January 4-8, 2027
  • LINK[1]: January 11-15, 2027
  • LINK[2]: August 9-13, 2027

Five Rings will host an immersive, 5-day workshop exploring how trading systems technologies are designed and built. Leveraging our state-of-the-art C++ and Python development environment on Linux and mentored by our full-time software developers, participants will cover a wide range of topics, from network protocol stacks and distributed systems to C++23 and the fundamentals of automated trading system programming. Current sophomores are invited to apply to join us in New York City at our office in Brookfield Place for this week-long intensive experience.

Candidates apply once to LINK; session placement is determined during the offer process based on your availability and university's academic calendar.

Selected candidates will receive: 

  • a $2,000 stipend
  • travel coverage to and from New York
  • housing accommodations
  • breakfast/lunch in addition to social activities with the Five Rings team
