Learning Experience Architect – Core Skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning Strategy & Needs Analysis
- Partner with business leaders and HR to clarify performance gaps, capability needs, and success metrics.
- Own the global “Core Skills” portfolio of learning and development solutions (focused on skills common to broad populations).
- Conduct discovery and needs analysis using interviews, workshops, surveys, and skills data review.
- Translate business requirements into clear learning objectives, learner personas, and success criteria.
- Prioritize learning initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and learner needs.
Experience & Journey Design
- Design end-to-end learning journeys (not just single events) that blend formal, informal, and social learning.
- Create experience blueprints (e.g., learner journeys, touchpoints, and channels) aligned to the lifecycle of the learner (onboarding, upskilling, role change, leadership growth, etc.).
- Apply learning sciences, adult learning principles, and behaviour change models to design impactful experiences.
- Ensure designs are inclusive, accessible, and globally relevant (culture, language, working patterns).
Content & Solution Architecture
- Define the overall architecture of solutions: what is delivered, how, and in what sequence (e.g., digital modules, live sessions, coaching, practice, communities).
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and content creators to structure content into coherent, digestible, and engaging learning flows.
- Curate existing content and resources to avoid duplication and maximize reuse.
- Recommend appropriate modalities and formats (self-paced, virtual, blended, in-person, social, performance support).
Stakeholder Collaboration & Facilitation
- Facilitate co-design sessions, workshops, and design sprints with stakeholders and learners.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping them see and shape learning as a lever for performance and culture.
- Manage expectations, priorities, and feedback loops across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Translate complex business and technical topics into clear learning narratives for non experts.
Measurement, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Define success metrics and evaluation approaches for learning experiences (e.g., adoption, behaviour change, performance indicators).
- Use data and feedback to iterate and refine learning experiences over time.
- Partner with analytics or HR teams to connect learning outcomes with business measures where feasible.
- Promote a test-and-learn mindset, experimenting with new formats and approaches and scaling what works.
Change Enablement & Adoption
- Embed learning experiences into the flow of work, supporting managers and teams to apply new skills.
- Create communication and engagement plans that build awareness, curiosity, and sustained participation.
- Equip leaders and people managers with tools and guidance to reinforce learning on the job.
- Advocate for a learning culture, modelling curiosity, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience working in a corporate L&D/Talent Center of Excellence, including contributing to learning strategy and governance across an international environment
- Experience architecting global learning portfolios and multi‑touch learning journeys (e.g., global leadership programs / strategic onboarding / skills academies) that go beyond single events and drive sustained behavior change.
- A track record of working with senior leaders, HR, and SMEs in functions or industries, e.g., technology, operations, commercial to diagnose performance needs and co‑create practical learning solutions.
- Demonstrated use of skills data, learner research, personas, and journey mapping, combined with adult learning and behavior change principles, to shape engaging experiences for global / cross‑functional / diverse audiences.
- Experience combining self‑paced digital learning, virtual/live sessions, social learning, and on‑the‑job application, ideally within large organizations / complex ecosystems, to create coherent learning pathways.
- Comfort navigating multiple stakeholder groups, time zones, and priorities, with experience coordinating across[regions, business units, or functions to deliver scalable learning initiatives.
- Experience applying user experience and interface design principles to learning solutions—designing intuitive, visually clear, and accessible interfaces, mapping user flows, and ensuring that digital learning environments are easy to navigate, engaging, and aligned with learners’ real workflows.
- Experience of using modern learning technology and AI design tools, for example: Articulate, Figma, Easygenerator, Synthesia, Adobe Creative Suite.
