We are looking for: Lead Software Engineer - MES Engineer

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Lead end-to-end MES projects including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to understand business processes and translate requirements into MES solutions.
  • Drive MES implementation roadmaps while ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for development, enhancements, issue resolution, and project execution.
  • Manage MES enhancement backlogs, prioritize business requirements, and track delivery commitments.
  • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production validation activities.
  • Support integration of MES with enterprise and shop-floor systems such as ERP, automation equipment, and machine interfaces.
  • Monitor MES system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical MES incidents and coordinate resolution across stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and support procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and support teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to business and management stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Proven experience leading MES implementation and enhancement projects in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly, testing, quality, and material flow.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing external vendors and coordinating software delivery activities.
  • Experience with MES configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
