Lead Inventory Control Specialist
Description
The Lead Inventory Control Specialist serves as the site subject matter expert for inventory management, inventory accuracy, and critical spare parts reliability. This role leads daily storeroom operations, provides guidance to inventory personnel, and partners with Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure material availability while driving continuous improvement across inventory processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily inventory control and storeroom operations supporting Plant Operations Facilities
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, reconciliation activities, and corrective actions
- Manage critical spare parts and consumable inventories to support equipment reliability and uptime
- Support, train, and mentor Inventory Control Specialists and other inventory personnel on processes and systems
- Coordinate material planning, kitting, and staging for maintenance activities, shutdowns, and capital projects
- Partner with Procurement, Receiving, and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts
- Analyze inventory performance, identify process improvements, and lead resolution of inventory discrepancies and obsolete materials
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including training, mentoring, or coordinating inventory personnel
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, cycle counting, critical spares programs, and inventory optimization
- Proficiency with inventory and ERP systems such as FLUX, SAP, WARP, MES/MOS, or equivalent platforms
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to become certified on material handling equipment and perform physical inventory activities, including lifting up to 35 lbs.

Expected Compensation
$28.75 - $54.44/hour + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
