Description and Requirements
Lenovo’s Solutions Development team is looking for a motivated Solutions Engineer with a strong interest in learning new technologies.
You will join a growing global team focused on certification, validation, and integration testing of hyperconverged solutions based on Lenovo x86 servers and VMware vSAN.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform certification, validation, and integration testing of hardware and software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with Lenovo engineering teams, VMware, partners, and vendors.
- Support new product and software releases and validate solution stability and reliability.
- Work with technologies across virtualization, cloud, edge computing, and AI.
- Contribute ideas and help build MVPs/prototypes as part of Lenovo’s innovation initiatives.
- Communicate technical findings, issues, and action plans clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Work as part of a global, cross-functional engineering team.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or PowerCLI.
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional work experience in a technical, engineering, IT, or related role
- Knowledge of computer architecture (processors, memory, GPUs, I/O, peripherals).
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Linux or Windows system administration.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine interest in learning new technologies and products.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of VMware / vSAN technologies.
- Experience with BMC / IPMI.
- Basic network administration knowledge (L2, protocols, routing).
- Experience working in a global team.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience in IT solutions, product development, testing, or technical enablement.
