Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s Solutions Development team is looking for a motivated Solutions Engineer with a strong interest in learning new technologies.

You will join a growing global team focused on certification, validation, and integration testing of hyperconverged solutions based on Lenovo x86 servers and VMware vSAN.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform certification, validation, and integration testing of hardware and software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with Lenovo engineering teams, VMware, partners, and vendors.
  • Support new product and software releases and validate solution stability and reliability.
  • Work with technologies across virtualization, cloud, edge computing, and AI.
  • Contribute ideas and help build MVPs/prototypes as part of Lenovo’s innovation initiatives.
  • Communicate technical findings, issues, and action plans clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work as part of a global, cross-functional engineering team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or PowerCLI.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional work experience in a technical, engineering, IT, or related role
  • Knowledge of computer architecture (processors, memory, GPUs, I/O, peripherals).
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Linux or Windows system administration.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine interest in learning new technologies and products.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of VMware / vSAN technologies.
  • Experience with BMC / IPMI.
  • Basic network administration knowledge (L2, protocols, routing).
  • Experience working in a global team.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience in IT solutions, product development, testing, or technical enablement.
