Description

Apple’s IS&T team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to contribute to design, analysis and certification of our applications. We are looking for someone who is equally passionate about quality and using lightweight processes to consistently achieve it. The role would also involve interacting with multi-functional engineering and product teams to test features, perform root cause analysis, and drive the quality of customer's experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 years experience in software quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright/Selenium, Appium.
• Experience in testing Web, API, iOS/iPad OS native applications
• Create test cases/test plans/strategy based on product requirements, user journeys, and technical designs.
• Execute exploratory, functional, end-to-end, regression, and integration testing as required.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QE engineers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and automation practices.
• Experience using GenAI tools for quality engineering tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Investigate test failures and product defects, perform root-cause analysis, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Identify repetitive testing activities that can be improved through AI-assisted automation.
• Experience using GenAI tools such as ClaudeCode, GeminiCLI to improve software testing productivity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers and product teams.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to solve quality engineering challenges.
