Data and AI-ML Engineer
Role Overview
In this role, you will join Lenovo’s Advanced Innovation Center (AIC) and help build data and AI solutions. You will work with engineering teams to develop data pipelines, manage large datasets, and build machine learning models that support Lenovo products and customers.
This role is ideal for someone interested in data engineering, machine learning, AI, and cloud technologies who enjoys learning and experimenting with new technology.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain data models, pipelines, and data products.
- Work with data lakes and cloud-based data platforms.
- Support data governance, quality, metadata, and access controls.
- Build, test, and improve machine learning and AI models.
- Analyze large datasets using Python and SQL.
- Work with global engineering and data teams to develop scalable solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
- Strong skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data lakes.
- Knowledge of machine learning and statistical methods.
- Experience with tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or Pandas.
- Experience with Spark, Databricks, or dbt.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with Parquet, Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with Power BI, Qlik, or AWS QuickSight.
- Data Engineering or AI/ML certifications.
- Experience with Kaggle or other machine learning projects.
