Japanese AI Document Editor (6 - Months Contractor)

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Job Responsibilities

1. AI Translation: Use company AI tools to translate course materials into Japanese.

2. Post-Editing: Review and refine AI-generated text for grammar, flow, and cultural accuracy.

3. Format Alignment: Fix broken layouts, fonts, and formatting in PPT or Word files post-translation.

4. Glossary Management: Maintain a Japanese terminology database to improve future AI translation consistency.

5. Final Quality Check: Perform side-by-side reviews to ensure complete, error-free, and ready-to-use Japanese documents.

Job Qualifications

1. Language: At least JLPT N2 or native Japanese speaker.

2. Education: Bachelor’s degree. Open to Language Teachers, current College/University Students, or Fresh Graduates. Major in Japanese or Management is highly preferred.

3. AI Prompting: Ability to write effective prompts to guide the tone, style, and accuracy of Japanese translations.

4. Formatting Skills: Familiarity with document formatting, using PowerPoint and Word.

5. Attention to Detail: A strong eye for visual layout, alignment, and typographical consistency.

6. Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in translation, proofreading, or Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE)
