Description and Requirements
At Lenovo, you will help deliver custom Windows image solutions for global enterprise customers across ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, and ThinkStation platforms. You will play a key role in designing, building, testing, and validating customer-specific operating system images that are deployed in manufacturing environments worldwide. This position combines hands-on technical expertise, customer engagement, scripting, testing, and documentation activities to ensure successful delivery of tailored image solutions. You will work closely with Fortune 500 customers and internal teams to transform business and technical requirements into reliable, production-ready deployments.
What you'll do
Build, customize, and maintain Windows operating system images for Lenovo hardware platforms and approved non-Lenovo devices when required
Create and configure custom image solutions using Microsoft DISM, Windows ADK, Sysprep, custom OOBE processes, and internal manufacturing tools
Develop and maintain automation and customization scripts using PowerShell, batch scripting (*.CMD, *.BAT), AutoIt, VBScript, and related technologies
Partner directly with customers to gather imaging, deployment, and BIOS/CMOS configuration requirements
Design detailed test plans aligned with customer requirements and obtain customer approval before project execution
Execute image validation, functional testing, and verification activities, documenting results and communicating findings to customers
Produce technical solution documentation and support image release activities through final packaging for manufacturing deployment
What you'll need
Experience creating and supporting Windows operating system images in enterprise environments
Knowledge of Microsoft DISM, Windows ADK, Sysprep, operating system deployment, and image lifecycle management
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell and at least one additional scripting technology such as Batch, AutoIt, or VBScript
Understanding of Windows installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment processes
Ability to create structured test plans, execute validation activities, and document technical results
Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to gather requirements and explain technical solutions
Professional English language skills, both written and verbal

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The anticipated initial gross base salary range for this position is 20,200–29,590 EUR per year. This range applies to the primary job location Slovakia and is determined using objective, non-discriminatory and gender-neutral criteria, including skills and relevant experience. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
Individuals may also be eligible for variable compensation (such as bonus or commission), depending on the role. The applicable variable pay model, eligibility, and target levels will be discussed during the recruitment process.
In addition to base salary and any applicable variable compensation, Lenovo provides statutory remuneration components required by local law, as well as Lenovo's comprehensive benefits package supporting employee well-being, development, and equal opportunities.
For roles open across multiple countries, local base salary ranges may vary based on market conditions, internal frameworks, and legal requirements. The relevant local range will be transparently communicated during the initial discussions.
