In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.Our company is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help lay the groundwork for our engineering teams to build robust automation tests more efficiently and effectively. The SDET will be instrumental in enhancing our testing capabilities and ensuring the highest quality of software delivery. Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain the automation test framework and infrastructure to enable efficient creation, execution, and maintenance of automated tests.

2. Collaborate with software engineers to understand product architecture and features, building effective test plans and automation scripts.

3. Implement best practices in test automation and integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

4. Mentor and support other engineers in writing testable code and developing automated tests, enhancing the team's overall testing expertise.

5. Troubleshoot, identify, and document bugs, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.

6. Optimize test automation strategies to increase test coverage, improve efficiency, and lower defect rates.

7. Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of test code.

8. Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation, introducing new tools and frameworks to enhance testing workflows.

Job Qualifications

1. Hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

2. Demonstrate proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and a strong understanding of object-oriented design.

3. Possess solid experience in creating and maintaining automated tests for web, mobile, and/or API services.

4. Understand software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

5. Show hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

6. Exhibit familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and build tools, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, etc.

7. Display strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

8. Utilize source code version control tools or services, such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, etc.

9. Embody key personal attributes: highly motivated, excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, and a team player with a passion for quality assurance and test automation.

10. Have knowledge of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles (preferred).

 (1) Familiar with cloud native technology such as container, kubernetes, and service mesh.

 (2) Have interest in system monitoring, maintenance, backup/restore, rollback and system fail-over design.

 (3) Knowledge of Kubernetes, Elastic Search and Linux command.
